Today’s Scripture
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
— Galatians 3:13–14 (NKJV)
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
— John 10:10 (NKJV)
Today’s Thought
“He took the curse so you can walk in the blessing.” The curse includes spiritual death, sickness, poverty, torment, and bondage. On the cross, Jesus became a curse for you so that the blessing of Abraham could rest on you. You are not destined to live under the weight of “that’s just how life is” or “that runs in our family.” In Christ, what runs in your spiritual family is blessing, favor, and covenant promises. This doesn’t mean life is problem-free, but it does mean you have a legal right in Christ to resist the curse and expect God’s blessing. So when lack, sickness, torment, or generational patterns show up, treat them as illegal deliveries—not part of your package in Christ.
Today’s Confession
Christ redeemed me from the curse of the law. He became a curse for me so that the blessing of Abraham would come upon me in Christ Jesus. Poverty, sickness, and spiritual death are not part of my inheritance. I receive abundant life in Jesus, and I resist every expression of the curse in my life and family.
