Today’s Scripture

Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice… My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

John 10:1-5, 27

Today’s Thought

Jesus promised that His sheep know His voice and will not follow a stranger. Yet how often do we allow fear, past failures, and others' opinions to drown out God's truth? The enemy doesn't have to stop God from speaking—he only needs to convince you to listen to something else. Pressure magnifies problems until they become louder than God's promises.

Today’s Challenge

Today, identify which voice has become loudest in your life. Is it fear? Your past? What people think? God's voice carries His character—it's always good, redemptive, and life-giving. If what you're hearing leads to condemnation, shame, or hopelessness, it's not from Him. Practice discernment by filtering every thought through God's character. He is faithful, and His voice will always align with His nature.
