Today’s Scriptures

“Search me, O God, and know my heart;

Try me, and know my anxieties;

And see if there is any wicked way in me,

And lead me in the way everlasting.”

Psalm 139:23–24 NKJV

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

and lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

and He shall direct your paths.”

Proverbs 3:5–6 NKJV

Today’s Thought

Real intimacy with God means He will eventually ask to talk about the deep things—those places only you and He know are there. At first, His instructions often feel “surface level,” but over time He lovingly moves closer to the hidden attitudes, wounds, and fears that shape your decisions. Many people stop hearing clearly from God at this point because they don’t want to go that deep. They stay busy, avoid quiet, and resist His gentle convictions. But the safest place in your life is total surrender. When you let Him into those private corners of your heart, He doesn’t shame you; He heals you and frees you.

Today’s Question

Is there a topic you’ve been hoping God *wouldn’t* bring up—an attitude, memory, relationship, or fear? Write it down privately. Then, in a simple prayer, invite Him into that exact area: “Lord, I surrender this to You. Talk to me about it, heal me in it, and lead me through it.” Stay quiet for a few minutes and let Him begin to speak.
