Today’s Scriptures
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.
Hebrews 12:15 KJV
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32 KJV
Today’s Thought
Offense may begin as an event, but if you keep rehearsing it, it can become the environment you live in. Someone may disappoint you, misunderstand you, criticize you, or fail to honor you, but you have to decide that what happened outside of you will not continue ruling what happens inside of you.
Offense is dangerous because it breaks focus. It pulls your attention away from love, faith, and obedience. Forgiveness protects your heart and keeps bitterness from taking root.
Today’s Question
Is there anyone you need to forgive or any offense you need to release? Refuse to let an outside event become an inward prison.
