Today’s Scriptures  

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

Today’s Thought  

The storm was already there when Peter stepped out of the boat. The wind was already blowing. The waves were already moving. But as long as Peter’s attention was on Jesus, he walked on what should have taken him under.

The problem was not the storm. The problem began when his focus shifted. Fear will always compete for your focus, but faith follows your focus. When you keep your eyes on Jesus, you can walk through things that look impossible.

Today’s Challenge  

Identify one “storm” in your life that has been getting more attention than Jesus. Today, choose to shift your focus back to Him. Speak His Word over that situation instead of rehearsing the fear.
