Today’s Scriptures

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

1 John 5:14-15 KJV

And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

John 16:23-24 KJV

Today’s Thought

Prayer is not a guessing game. God has given us covenant promises, and when we pray according to His Word, we can have confidence that He hears us. The goal is not to convince God to be good; He already is good. The goal is to bring His Word before Him, pray in the name of Jesus, and trust that He is faithful to do exactly what He said.

Today’s Confession

I pray with confidence because God hears me when I pray according to His Word. I ask the Father in the name of Jesus, and I believe that I receive what He has promised. My joy will be full because my Father is faithful.
