Discipline = Results
I have a confession. I do NOT love working out. There are some people who live to go to the gym. Who love their workouts. I am not one of those people.
What I do love however, is the results I get from working out. I love feeling better, looking better, and knowing I’m setting myself up for better health as I get older. I love the satisfaction I get when I’m able to increase the weight or do things I’ve never been able to do (like real push-ups). I love knowing that when I wanted to quit I didn’t. I love the fact that for the past 20 weeks I’ve showed up, even when I didn’t want to, or had to switch days or modify workouts to make it happen. I love that I’m creating a lifestyle change that’s not for a moment but for the rest of my life.
So as much as I don’t love working out, I do love the discipline I’m creating in my life. Discipline isn’t always fun, but it’s the only way to get the results you want.
This made me think about other parts of my life. What other disciplines do I need to put in place to get the results I want to see? What other things do I not love, but need to do because they are necessary for me to reach my goals? I have a whole list. How about you?
Let’s start today! We can do this together. I believe in you and am cheering you on!
